Single molecule transcription factor dynamics during zygotic genome activation

The regulation of transcription is a highly dynamic process involving the coordinated activity of multiple proteins. I will discuss the novel insights gained on this process by quantifying the single molecule kinetics of transcription factors within living Drosophila melanogaster embryos during the earliest stages of their development.
