Dr. Joanne Chory, Salk Institute for Biological Studies
The 2024 Benjamin Franklin Medal in Life Sciences is presented to Joanne Chory for her research combining genetic, biochemical & genome-wide analyses to elucidate how plants respond to light, & for inspiring new strategies to engineer plants to combat climate change.
Joanne Chory is Professor of the Plant Biology Laboratory and Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at The Salk Institute.
